In March 2010 I attended a leaders conference in Cape Town and on our way back to the airport my host graciously gave me a guided tour of Cape Town and my highlight was the trip to Boulders Beach to see the African Penguins. I watched a Kelp Gull snatch an egg from an African Penguin - the mom was not impressed! The other highlight on the day was seeing Cape Cormorants for the first time near Chapman's Peak. The Cape Batis hiding in the bush at Boulders Beach was also a lifer for me as were the Kelp Gull.
