In February 2010 I visited the Faerie Glen Nature Reserve in Pretoria (it is covered in chapter 26 of Birding Gauteng). It was a delightful spot - that involved great hiking trails along a river and over a koppie. The bird life was not prolific, but it was early days in my birding experience so I am sure that a return trip will be most productive!!! Here are some pics that I captured during the day (on a return trip I will also take some scenery pics):
