This world-renowned sanctuary on the Mooi River in Potchefstroom (chapter 81 in Birding Gauteng) is a spot with great potential. On a first visit to the sanctuary we saw: Yellow-crowned Bishop, juvenile Diderick Cuckoo, Black-headed Heron, Green Wood Hoopoe and Pin-tailed Whydah. Here are some pics that I took on the day:
