In February 2010 I paid a quick visit to Strubem Dam in Pretoria (covered in chapter 27 of Birding Gauteng) - it was on the way home from Farie Glen Nature Reserve and in the hour that I spent there I probably saw around fifteen birds. The highlight was a brief sighting of Greater Honeyguide.
